MUSIC MINISTRY OF FLETCHER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Psalms 95:1
Fletcher United Methodist has a wonderful music ministry with many opportunities for all ages. Our Director of Music is Cathy Bashaw. If you are interested in joining any of our music groups, you may contact the church office or Cathy Bashaw at cbashaw@bellsouth.net.
Youth Handbells - This is a beginning handbell group for middle and high school ages. If you don't read music, we will teach you and have fun at the same time! Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 4:15 p.m. until 5:15 p.m.
The Chancel Choir rehearsals will resume on September 1st. New Men's Choir Group Forming!! FUMC is forming a men's - only choir group which will perform throughout the year. If you would be interested in joining this group, please contact Cathy Bashaw at 684-7155. Experience & ability to read music are not required.

Chancel Choir - This group sings regularly at the 11:00 a.m. worship service and occasionally at the 8:30 a.m. service. Everyone from middle school age to adults is invited to join. The only requirement is that you want to sing! Rehearsals are Wednesday nights from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Memorial Handbell Choir - This group rings 6 to 8 times a year during the worship services. With 5 octaves of bells, there is plenty of room for new ringers. Want to ring but have no experience or can't read music? Not a problem! We will teach you. Everyone from high school age to adults is invited to join. Rehearsals are Wednesday from 5:45 until 7:30 p.m.
Children's Choir - Children ages 3 through grade 5 meet as part of the WOW program on Wednesday nights, 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., September through May. There are two choirs. "A Joyful Noise" for ages 3 through grade 1 and "Celebration Singers" for grades 2 through 5. "A Joyful Noise" sings 2 times a year in December and in May. The "Celebration Singers" sing several times during the year at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. They also have a Christmas program and perform a Christian musical each spring.
Mixed Ensemble - Want to sing but cannot make a weekly commitment? This is the group for you! This group sings 2 to 3 tims a year for the morning worship services. Everyone from middle school age to adults is invited to join.
Instruments - We have opportunities for instrumentalists to play solos, play in ensembles and accompany the choirs.
